The problem lies in the saplogon.ini file. It will contain invalid blank entries which need to be removed.
The file can be found in the "windows" folder. Therefore if "windows" is installed to the C: drive, the location of the file will be in the default location C:\Windows\saplogon.ini.
First close down SAP, ERP² and any other applications on the PC that connects to SAP. Before making any changes to the saplogon.ini file please take a backup of it first. You will need to open this file using a text editor such as Notepad. This can be easily achieved by right clicking on the file and then choosing "Open with..." and selecting Notepad.
Once the file is open, locate the section called [Router]. All the blank entries need to be removed and the items with data renumbered so they are sequential and begin at Item1. Now scroll down through the rest of the file and change any other sections that similarly contain blank entries. Save and close the saplogon.ini file. You should now be able to connect to SAP through ERP².
